Touch screen - mystery icon???

Hi All,
Been playing with my new '07 XJR and have sussed out how to get USBs sticks to play and how to turn on/off the rear entertainment system, etc... after much reading of the booklets.
But I have an icon on the touch screen that isn't there on my '03 XJR which I cannot find in any of the booklets.
It's a speaker symbol, with the speaker pointing upwards with an "R" next to it, positioned in the bottom middle of the touch screen when listening to the radio. It's constantly greyed out.
Anyone know what it's for?
