Who would you say is the greatest "star"...my gut reaction is the Austrian Oak, but when you compare great filsm it seems to suggest Ol' Sly is top dog....what do you think?

Arnie:

Terminator 1 & 2
Predator
Commando
Total Recall
Running Man

Sly:

Rocky 1,2 & 3 (4&5 were crap)
First Blood
CopLand
Cliffhanger
Demolition Man

Why have you left off their seminal works, specifically Kindergarten Cop and Stop or my Mom will shoot!

Despite seeing the films before I would always end up watching one of the Arnie films you listed over the Stallone films if one happened to be on TV.

So Arnie it is.

And the true masterpieces that highlight Arnie's breadth of character acting skills from Conan the Barbarian and True Lies.

Arnie wins.
Do a poll, and in JCVD just for a laugh.

You haven't included all their decent films, for complete objectivity, you would need to list all, and would the stinkers claw the star down?
Automatically I would have said AhNold, cas he is my fave, but Sly has made man many more films (thus had more opportunity to make classics and turkeys) and really started to get serious aboot acting as he got older, Rocky Balboa was fking brilliant and made me rethink his ability as an actor.

Sly in CopLand showed that there is some talent lurking in him and True Blood is one of my favourite films of all time.

That said, Terminator (both) were great films as were Total Recall and Predator.

Tough one.

I'm going with Sly for having done better films but I can't deny Arnie has made some enjoyable films.

No Steven Seagal option then...?

Interesting, but I haven't really got time to think about this right now.

I'll be back.

How are we missing True Lies off that list?

Er...I also enjoyed Twins!

Anyway Arnie rocks.

Surely though we have to make up the Planet Hollywood trinity add Bruce?

Die Hard 1,2,3,4
6th Sense
Moonlighting
Sin City
Fifth Element
Armageddon
Last Man Standing
12 Monkeys
Pulp Fiction
Death Becomes Her. Some of you may ask "wtf?" but my answer is quite simply Isabella Rossellini.
Blind Date. All Im going to say is...Kim Basinger, pencil skirt. Its all you need to know!

Ah-Nuld for me. For the classic like "Runnnnn! Gooooo! Get to da choppa!"

You also missed off the classic Jingle all the way from that list hehe

Edit: Arnie also has some of the best one liners in films like Commando. Cheesy brilliance.

Arnie for me but Sly is the better actor, well he can act lets be honest Arnie cant really but is fun to watch.

All forgetting the true Arnie classic Hercules in New York where Arnie plays Hercules who is bored of his life in Olympus and takes a vacation to New York.
