I have removed what was left of some sound deadening felt from the underside of the transmission tunnel of my vixen.

Looks the same as this as sold by Woolies.

Is it worth replacing with new or is there something better ??

You would be much better off using a heat reflective foil than sound deadening which doesn't really work. Doing the bulkhead and under the trans tunnel keeps heat away from the cockpit.

This is the sort of stuff. You can also get it as self adhesive backed, I find it is better to also use pop rivets with rivet washers to mechanically fix.

Their are different brands and the stuff is very expensive from places like demon tweaks, about £100 for 1.5 sq M !!

Not sure if anyone else on here knows of a better or cheaper source. the tweaks double foil stuff also has sound absorption properties at a cost.
