not that im sure I am even buying an integra but....

im curious on opinions regarding which is the best model.

the new one or the old (1999) one

Im talking about the JDM spec for both models - I can get a used model of either for about the same price, some reviews rate the new one as better some rate the old one better.

I dont need something hardcore as Im a pretty new driver and dont need to be sliding all over the place in the name of fun.

im in japan at the moment and the old Type R seems to be really expensive for a decent one, Ive seen plenty of nasty ones with dodgy modifications and worn seats that are quite cheap, but any low mileage 99spec in original condition is pretty expensive.

however the new style seems to be easy to find (as long as u want white) and there are some quite nice really really low mileage ones on offer.

I know the older one is supposed to be more fun, but I want something that Im less likely to crash..

Do for the DC5 (new type)

much better drive than the older DC2,
Honda are allegedly considering bringing the DC5 over here as an official import this year.

In Japan now did you go there just to get a car?

I did the same a few years ago. If you are in Tokyo try the JAA auction altough you will need an agent.

Could you put up some prices for varous cars in yen for me

ps. dont forget if you buy a european car over there you dont have to pay import tax just the vat

im living in japan, not just visiting...

I have a friend who is a car trader and said I can go with him to some auctions and see what bargains I can pick up..

With Japanese interest rates being stupidly low, I might just go for a brand new car

If I go the auctions I will post some prices of anything interesting I happen to see
