Hi all,

As title - is this something as simple as needing the gearbox oil replaced, or the cable linkages adjusted? Or is it something more sinister? It shifts beautifully otherwise, and doesn't take long to 'warm up' - It's just when it's stone cold, reverse won't happen unless you "fiddle" a bit first, and 1st baulks quite a bit too

Thanks!

P.s. I guess this applies to any Mk3 Mondeo with the MMT6 box if anyone's got any experiences!

Im on my 2nd ford now, and the 'boxes are always a bit iffy to engage reverse. Plenty of people would say the same im sure!

Put it into 5th first then back into reverse. sometimes helps with recalitrant boxes.

hehe Cheers guys, I'll try various "combinations" and see what the easiest workaround is smile

I love the car though. In fact, I feel a readers' cars thread coming on.
