I was watching this last night and before he even flipped it over, I asked my mate if they did actually flip really easy. Then low and behold it flipped round most corners.
Now I know Clarkson was probably driving it like it was something with sorted suspension, but I bet they were very unsteady, even if not as bad as Clarksonw as making out?
Anyone ever driven one?

The model is Robin, the make is Reliant. It's a Reliant Robin, see?
Yes, I've driven one. And a Bond Bug. Yes, the Robin is unstable, but in 'normal' use, you ain't going to do what Clarkson did unless you drive it like a f
kwit. Or for comic effect. I use 'comic' in its loosest sense here.
Physics will tell you that one wheel at the front will be inherently less stable than one at the rear, because when cornering, the car's momentum wants to go straight on. Or something.

kwit' than Clarkson. I always fancied a Bond 875 myself - with Imp Sport power, naturally.Passing over the fact that it's Reliant Robin. They are not as bad as Clarkson makes out. As can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1baol5Jlw4

Many years ago I heard a noise outside my office. A Reliant had rolled onto it's side in the road out of the window. I did what I thought was the right thing, and rung 999. While I was on the phone explaining what had happened, the two guys got out, pushed it back onto it's wheels, got back in, and drove off. The manner in which they did it suggested that it wasn't the first time that it had happened.

Amateurs. With two people you can get it back on 3 wheels without getting out of the car. Why do people have this strange habit of calling them 'Robin Reliants'?! I've never understood this!
Anyway, my dad's friend used to sell them for a living, they've got a very loyal customer base and there were a few modded for performance
There's a Reliant specialist on the A19 before Selby, they've got quite a selection in and also sell some strange little French thing of which I've forgotton its name.

A bloke who lived near me used to roll his Bond Bug on a regular basis.
I witnessed one such event, he came to a rest upside down and called for assistance, so me and a mate turned it the right way up and he just drove off without getting out.
Amateur. The trick was to keep them on two wheelsI witnessed one such event, he came to a rest upside down and called for assistance, so me and a mate turned it the right way up and he just drove off without getting out.

Perhaps they do it on purpose because they know it really, REALLY winds people up
What you really need is Reliant Kitten, four wheels is better. Obviously with a bike engine its even better
