Well, what a fantastic couple of days qualifying that was! Track looks good and some great machinery in attendance. Risto & Stig both appear in rude health as well. Days like today remind me what the internet is really for. But 10 short years ago we had to wait months to find out what happened when everyone headed north. Now, thanks to the democratising power of the web, and the hard work of the E.D. staff, we can all enjoy the event as well. Thank you Eurodragster, and Speedgroup.

I had one clutch guy (Johnny) not involved in tuning at all asking me for what to put on the clutch each run, then Jason who has been around for a long time, but not as a R2B2 tuner, he is working on engine maintenance. I analyzed the data and discussed things with Jason and I made the final calls. Jason was also handling start line last calls when I was strapped in the car. Hot line to Billes? Yes, would have been possible in the afternoons, but we were able to find the way on our own... This year I have spent a lot of time analyzing runs in the US with Billes and Newberry which has added to my own experience of course. If we had ran into trouble getting down the track, I'm sure I would have chased Billes, but we never ran into trouble this weekend. Was he interested in what we were doing?; yes very, he wants all log info of the runs.
