As an aside, I know that all cars sold from a certain date will have the DRLs fitted, because our EU overlords think we are such bad drivers that they cannot trust us to switch on our own lights in bad weather/light conditions, BUT......
why do they have to be so f**king bright? Some of them are akin to driving around, in perfect conditions, with your front fogs/driving lamps on, which according to the amount of threads on PH over the years, equates to breaking in to someone's house on Christmas morning and pissing all over the presents while Grandma watches in horror.

funniest thing i have read this morning!

I can understand why DRL are used, Volvo have had them for years claiming that it has reduced the number of accidents so i accept that. What i dont understand is why so bright and why are people now fitting Audi stlye lights to astras ffs.
