Petrol to Diesel - not sure.

I bought an ST220 saloon in Apr 10 (1 owner, FSH, 50k, 6 speed manual and usual ST refinements) for my daily motorway drive - great car and loads of kit for a small outlay.

Have just seen this however.........

Was looking at one before I got the ST but obviously did not go with it. This one is standard with no work to injectors or turbo (yet!!).

I can get £4500 for the ST220 (I think that is a good price) and the BMW for £6500.

Th question is, fuel economy aside, is it worth the outlay as my motorway hack?

Cat D and the mileage doesn't stack up with BMWs records.
Pretty sure there is something in the BMW section about it.

Not so worried about the CAT D sol long as it has been repaired to a high standard but not happy if the mileage etc is not correct.
