Anyone tried the tyre/tube lining products available? I hate getting punctures and want to find a sensible way to reduce the chances of getting one.

Cheers

With decent tyres and the correct size inner tube I very rarely get a puncture.

Go Tubeless, while ride buddues are getting 2 punctures a ride, I have not had a puncture is 2 years. 70 miles a week!

I used to get a thorn or wild blackberry puncture almost every ride.

I now use tyres with a layer of kevlar in them (Mountain Kings) and use slime filled tyres. I haven't had a puncture in two years even though I still get an occasional thorn.

Some parts of the country seem to be relatively thorn free, Essex is not one of them.

Ride primarily in London. Before kevlar; puncture at least once a month. Since kevlar; not a single puncture in about two years of daily commuting!

I've not had a puncture in 2 years of commuting 7-12 miles each way through London in all weathers. I use Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase tyres.

Before that I had Conti GP4000s and got a couple of punctures a month.
