Number of owners affecting engine size

My car ( 1.2 corsa ) Has had 12 owners ( T reg ) and for some reason is appearing as a 1.2 12v on V5 and a 1.2 16v everywhere else ( its a 1.2 16v ) . Could then number of owners contribute to the engine oddities?

Did Vauxhall do an engine that was either 3 cylinders with 4 valves per cylinder, or 4 cyl with 3 valves each? Both sound a bit odd. Most likely it's just a registration error - many of my cars have had little errors like that. I had an MR2 and the insurance company I was signing up with were utterly bemused that although the logbook just called it a GT-i16, it was a GT-i16 T-Bar. I had to take the bloke outside and point at the large glass panels on the roof before he would accept that perhaps the document was wrong.

Yes, 1.0l 3 cylinder 12v..

Just don't ever sell it - I don't think a 13 valve engine would be very well balanced.
