"What happens after all the people vanish" TV program?
Discussion
In the past month or two I saw a trailer for a program on BBC3 or 4 (it might not have been) about what will happen to all the human infrastructure if humanity vanishes - How long it'd take buildings to collapse, roads to crumble, etc.
Unfortunately, however, I missed it as I never did see it's name - does anyone know what it might be called - or if it even exists?
Thanks

"Life after People", i think it was on the History channel? I caught the one about North America and the Hollywood sign decaying. It was utter, utter cack. http://www.history.co.uk/shows/life-after-people/s...

It's been shown quite a few times now. The idea was good but far, far too many repetitive shots of the Chrysler Building and such like falling down.
Read "Evolution" by Stephen Baxter for a good idea of the Earth after man.

Just caught an episode of this that I recorded off the History Channel a few days ago.
What a load of s
te! Completely lacking in content, narrated by "Voiceover Man", lots of 'dan dan daaaaaa' music and cheesy CGI, and completely banal and tedious.
God what a waste of time. Won't bother with another one.

I find this topic fasciniating.. I would love to visit Chernobyl... (the bits that are not too hot obviously).. just to see nature taking everything back... there is an amazing website with many pictures out there somewhere..will try to post a link later.
There's a National Geographic magazine article I read earlier this year lots of photos of the overgrown city.

I'd like to see Chernobyl too - It's fascinating to wonder and see how everything decays without Man.
There are lots of places around the world showing what happens when man abandons a particular site. Chernobyl is probably more relevant to us today because it represents modern, industrialised, technological civilisation.Have a look at the following if you're at all interested in the subject of things decaying when Man moves away. Particularly 'Battleship Island'.
