Dear All,
I posted on here months ago asking for recommendations for a service centre and duly took the collective positive input re Trimar.
Well after about 10 weeks I finally have the my Nob back...yep that was a long service!
Trimar kindly took on my request to replace all the coolant hoses with Silcone replacements and in doing so actually had to find someone to take on the task of manufacturing them - ACT as it turns out, and some of them are pretty complicated hence the 10 week wait. However despite the wait the job is done and they look fantastic - great job plus the service from Martin & Skip & Co.
They manufactured 4 sets i believe so if it's a job anyone needs doing then give Trimar a call - it was expensive but by no means extortionate and well worth doing IMHO (plus my car was already leaking!).
They also had a new leather gearstick gaiter made and fitted which I know others on here were keen to know how much that cost - not sure what it would cost to have fitted on its own (tunnel floor pannels were already off to fit the hoses) but I was charged about £37 for supply and fit.
So, finaly got to drive it this weekend down to Goodwood on Sunday morning, ran absolutely faultlessly - searing heat and 90 degrees C solid even in traffic, no leaks, nowt, perfect.
Only a couple of niggles to my mind re the service - oil marks on my drivers seat, and bizzarrely seem to be missing a tyre valve dustcap and brake bleed nipple covers - but all minor in the big scheme of things.
One happy camper.
Cheers,
Simon

Would you belive it... after posting up my Trimar experience the other day which was all good apart from mentioning a couple of very minor niggles - Martin was straight on the phone and the offending missing items are in the post.
How's that for service!!!
I'll post some pics of the new pipe work in the next week or so - blue silicone on an Azure blue car looks the dogs!
