I’ve just bought an Audi A6 Avant 3.0 Tdi Quattro S Line Le Mans Edition Auto registered in June 07 for the Mrs.

The Co2 / tax banding for these cars on Autotrader is quoted as;

CO2 emissions 225 g/km
Vehicle tax band K

However having just taxed it, the V5 says that its 226 g/km meaning that it trips into the higher tax band L (by 1g/km) and is £415 per annum rather than £235.

It’s not the end of the world - £180 over 12 months; however is there anyway to confirm which it should be?

£415 seems steep for a fairly sluggish diesel estate car.
