The lad works with my OH. Happened on his way to work at Thorp Arch. Apparently he's in a bad way, broken leg, broken jaw, broken ribs, punctured both lungs, fractured his skull so they've put him into a coma.

No idea what caused the accident but it was raining heavy at that time, so tread carefully.

Thoughts for him, his wife and 2 kids.

Hope he's ok, looked bad in the local rag.

Off topic slightly, but anyone know what happened on the A64 this evening, about 6, on the Leeds bound carriageway near Tadcaster? Looked, again, to be fairly serious.

Again, hope all OK.

"But even at the speed limit of 40mph..."

There's a 40mph section on the B1224 now? Granted I usually go via Hunsingore to get to our shop but I sometimes go that way and can't remember a 40mph section confused

More importantly though I hope the guy recovers soon, thoughts are with his family.

The 40mph zone is through Bilton-in-Ainsty.. Ironically he took the 40mph sign out as he went into the ditch.

No more news yet.

Not too sure what happened on the A64 between the 2 Taddys either but i heard one way was closed, with the other way closed tempory to let the air ambulance land! Doesn't sound too good.

Today also, down the A1 at Wentbridge was shut all morning, not sure what happened not seen any news yet.

Be safe out there.
