Well I suppose it's cheaper to polish a plane and dump it upside down on the floor than keep it flying or buy a new one.

Gah! Ok Ok Ok...so I would prefer to see them flying...but still its better than some of the pretentious drivel that most 'critics' drool over...at least as a viewer you can either admire the artist.....or WE can admire the engineers and the men who flew her/them!

I saw the interview on BBC, and she was talking about pretentious toss like the emasculation of the objects without payloads.

they would have been far better in war colours with dirt and scratches all over- they don't need to be polished to be beautiful, but the dirt would really remind you of there real purpose!

The only thing that makes that 'art' is the fact that it was thought up by an 'artist' who has a background in 'art' and a qualification from some 'art college' or other.

Like so much 'modern art', anyone could do it, but it's only 'art' if you have the background in 'art' and the ability to talk utter bks about the meaning of it.

If you or I had done it, it would just be old aeroplanes.
