Breitling New Wave Super Ocean
Discussion
This is my first post in the watch forum so please be gentle as I don't profess to know a great deal about watches but know what I like.
I currently have a Omega Speedmaster which I have put on a black leather strap, but my head has been turned by the Breitling New Wave Superocean with the Abyss Black face on a bracelet.
I have spent the night on the web just trying to find the retail price for this watch but with no luck.
Anybody know?
Cheers, Stu.

Call your nearest Breitling agent, or call Breitling UK on 0207 636 5211..
Watch is £2300 I believe. Saw it advertised in Evo magazine. Don't know their watch positioning but I have the super avenger which apparently goes to 3000 metros and not feet yet the are advertising this one as a deep diving watch, which it obviously is but is not their deepest one. Having said that, IWC's Deep One only went to 100 metres
It was in EVO that I saw it but was unaware if that price would aplly to the bracelet equipped watch.
I enquired with the local stockist and was told that it was expected in November or possibly October.
As I'm an impatient bugger I enquired about the watch that I actually wanted (but cann't really afford)on the basis that I would have to wait any way and have been told that I will have one at the end of this month or the end of August at the latest. That watch being the current black faced and black bezelled Sub-mariner.
As I said, I cann't really afford it but with the new Sub-mariner due around November (with the ceramic bezel) and from what I can work out a substantial price increase if I don't do it now then I never wil be able to afford one.
Thanks for the replies,
Stu.

Any idea on release date or availability?
Not too sure, but it looks as if it is available in other countries ... There is one for sale on Chrono24, albeit the seller is located in Germany. However Banks & Lyon have it advertised on their website, so perhaps worth a bell to find out more?http://www.bankslyon.co.uk/details.php?product=807...
It's officially called the 'Superocean II' - You might find more information by searching with this model name

I specifically wanted it on a bracelet as I have put my Speedmaster on a black leather strap.
The problem is that I like it on the bracelet as well.
If it wasn't for the fact that I can't change from one strap to the other in a matter of seconds I don't think that I would be looking for something else as I love the look of the Speedmaster so much.
I suppose that I could have bought another Speedmaster and alternated between the two but I thought that something else would have been nice.
If the Sub doesn't materialised then I will definately be back looking at the Breitling again with bracelet.
