Just had an eye-watering renewal from A Plan on our Honda Horizon 4x4 (rebadged Isuzu Trooper). Every year the premium goes up despite accruing NCB, so I need to shop around.

Any recommendations? I haven't had much luck beating A Plan in the past but things are starting to get silly.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello I would think Adrian Flux would have some good prices on this. Make sure you mention you are a Pistonheads member and we can give you some more discounts if you call.

Sky were good, but a pain in the fuggin arse for sending documents back and forth.

Flux couldn't quote competitively against them, but everything is a million times easier.

Unfortunately not. Seeing as someone hit her the other day so there is a claim outstanding Flux were well north of 1K.

I'm starting to think insurers are only a step or two away from extortionists. My missus has an excellent driving record part from the above being rear-ended by a wagon (so non-fault), has only 1 SP30, 3 years NCB on this car i.e. as long as she's owned it, and 7+ NCB on her main car, uses this vehicle for no more than 2K p.a and often much less, and yet is expected to pay over £1k to insure it? Madness.

Yeah I heard we didn't get much luck on that one, sorry about that.

Try Chris Knott, have been much much better than the usual suspects for me.

Also worth trying the trunkiesailorbells, who can be very cheap as long as you dont have too many mods.
