Thought I would share my past and present cars with you. My 1st car was a Peugeot 1.1 Zest which was slightly 'Chavvy' so I won't be sharing any pictures of that!

I then bought a 106 GTi and changed the wheels. After taking it to Castle Combe a few times I decided I wanted a cheap car that I could drive around the track without worrying about damaging too much so I purchased a 205 1.9 GTi for £250.

After selling both the cars above I bought myself a Manual Mitsubishi FTO GPX MIVEC.

I then paid £250 for a 106 GTi that had been crashed and bought a 106 XSi (1.4) for £200 that didn't have an engine. After a few months (and the mechanic chopping off a finger) I ended up with a 1.6, 16v XSi with a 1.4 gear box.

My next car was a White, Mk 1, 306 Turbo Diesel as I was desperate for work horse. That was a big mistake as the engine seized after 2 months!

The cars I have at the moment are a Black 3dr, Mk4 Golf, GT TDi 130, with full Recaro leather seats - my daily drive. I don't have any pictures (and can't find any standard Golf pic's on the web). I have also recently purchased another 106 GTi for use on the track. The car doesn't have any modifications at the moment (except a rather large exhaust) but I plan on uprating the suspension, brakes and getting a decent roll cage in it.

Hope I haven't bored you too much!

All look pretty good to me.
Good call on planning to fit a decent roll cage for the track motor.

Your mechanic chopped his finger off. He mustn't be very handy

It was a bit of a stupid mistake really. I believe the fans on the front of the XSi had to be moved as there wasn't enough room in the engine bay and he had taken the cover off of them. After driving it to the MOT center he went to open the bonnet and put his hands through the front of the car into the spinning fan and took the top of his finger off.

As for pictures of my first car I can't seem to find any.

Jusr curious but what did you think of the FTO compared to the various nippy little peugeots in terms of handling, power, weight etc?

I prefer the 106 GTi over the FTO in all respects really. The FTO felt asthmatic, although it sounded good when the MIVEC cut it in didn't really go. I do really like the cockpit interior that the FTO has and the driving postion was really comfortable but I much prefer the 'go kart' feel of the Peugeots.
