Help with a car fridge!
Discussion
Evening All
Heading off to goodwood tomorrow, bright and early, I've just found the fridge that fits in the seat rails of our Ford Galaxy S Reg. I don't know which way the connectors need to be for cold inside, instead of hot. They look like this.

I have noticed the little indent, which is assume means blue on that side, gives cold. I've had it on for 30 minutes out on a drive and doesn't seem any hotter or cooler inside. Fans are running.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Fair enough.
You get computers with coolers like that on graphics card, but it certainly wouldn't chill food.
It would probably be enough to keep chilled drinks cool for a while or stop condensation if something hot was in there.
Have a good time at the FOS. Sounds like its a good event.

Pretty sure.... it's got a heat sink in the raised part, with a vent at the far side in that picture.
correct...i,ve got one like that, try filling it with chilled stuff and an ice pack out the freezer, and it should keep things pretty cold, not the best technology and newer versions are more sophisticated but it will do the job.4sure said:

These things generally use a Peltier heat-pump attached to a heatsink, the fan is there to move heat away from the heatsink. You get computers with coolers like that on graphics card, but it certainly wouldn't chill food.
I would say that if the OP can't detect any cooling or heating after 30 mins, then the thing is knackered.

Hopefully the ice packs will do something even if the electrics are spent, thanks.I would say that if the OP can't detect any cooling or heating after 30 mins, then the thing is knackered.
