Hoping someone knows of a place. I'm after a decent shoe repairer in London. I've got a fairly expensive pair of Paul Smith shoes which i've worn through the leather sole, and now have a hole in one of them. I'm reluctant to take them to any old cobblers like Timpson's as i'll end up with a st job being done and some horrible new sole put on them.

Can anyone recommend soemwhere decent - preferably somewhere in or around the Oxford Circus / Covent Garden / Holborn area...

Thanks in advance!

I made a thread very like this recently for my Cheaney shoes; in the end I took them to Austin Reed on Regent Street who sent them back for a Cheaney refurbish at about 1/3rd of the cost of the shoes. I decided that it was better to have the whole shoe brought back properly than possibly getting them done poorly so I would imagine there's a similar option for Paul Smith too.

As above, I always send my Jeffery West shoes back to the factory - try the Paul Smith shop. After a nasty experiance with a Timpsons I would never use a local shop again - they ended up buying me a new pair of shoes.
