any ideas on costs to fit 8 new valve guides?

wondered if anyone has a rough idea what 8 new valve guides would cost to get fitted

and would a machine shop be likely to source non genuine parts for cheaper?

its a vw polo head ..manual says press fitting

The cost of the guides is more or less irrelevant. The valve seats MUST be recut after this is done because guides are not always concentric. About £100 to £150 would be normal.
