Pics of 3r exhaust on 2.5 anyone?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone out there who has the 3r exhaust on their 2.5GTO could upload a few pic of the modification needed to make it all fit?

I have been down to a local guy here and he started going on about this and that is required and this might not fit etc... Just would like to see a pic of how others have done it here.

I have one fitted and I had to use the 2.5 down pipe. the garage to make it fit better cut the bend coming from the front turbo to the silencer and re welded it back together.

To be honest I think it would have been better to just get the H and S one fitted at around 1200 with cats I think.

Have you got the pump and wiring upgrade?

I had the first one fitted.

Required a suitable "metal changing shape implement", called a ******* big hammer. It basically doesn't fit but can be made to with a few big dents bashed into it.

Why would you want to replace one rusty exhaust for another, would a new stainless steel not be a better long term option

Thanks for the info, yeah i only just bought the exhaust off a broken 3r so it was a cheap way to get the nice look at the back with the exhausts coming out. I intend at some point to put some system on it but just not at the moment.

I dunno if I have the pump and wiring upgrade... what am i looking for here?
