T350 Custom JP Exhaust

Hi all, I currently have a fairly unique full system exhaust fitted to my T350 by JP Exhausts in Nov 09 as their first development of a JP full system sports exhaust that sounds great but is also track day compliant up to 98db. It consists of larger bore centre pipes from the cats along with a new freer flowing backbox with 3.5" rolled and sleeved tips.

Basically I am no longer planning on taking my car on track and therefore do not need a sports exhaust that is track day compliant and am therefore looking into the possibility of swapping back to the standard T350 centre pipes and original JP backbox (also because I do miss the raucous noise!)

At this stage I am gauging interest from people who may want the full JP system I have fitted so that they can undertake track days and also have all the noise benefits (incl pops and bangs) of a sports exhaust. I would be willing to do a swap for the standard JP backbox plus some cash.

I have a noise video clip that I can send via email to interested parties.

Have you thought about leaving the JP system in place but fitting decats instead?

My Tamora's running a similar exhaust to your T350, and the decats make a big difference to how aggressive it sounds. It's also, I reckon, a bit more responsive without the cats. Plus the decats don't get as hot - so there's less powder coating burnt off the chassis and less heat transferred to the cockpit.

I had thought about decats but not sure if I can be bothered with the hassle come MOT time, although as you rightly say it seems like there are quite a few other positives from losing them...

I just need more sound now that I know I wont be tracking it.

How much were you after?

I've got a loose baffle in my std back box which is doing my head in so was looking at my options, but I've already had the car decated and didn't want the full-on mental decat + JP backbox as mine is a daily driver...

Mark - PM sent, but essentially the 'new' JP system is the perfect sports exhaust for those that track their cars or use them everyday and want to keep an element of normality, with a nice deep sound when the car is really under load.

I beleive that ACT will be selling the new system for around £750 as it consists of much more than just the old JP backbox.

I am interested. However since I wouldn't fit it without having a remap, which I am not prepared to do right now, then I will have to pass. I may be in a different position in 6 months time if you've still got it.
