Mystery Takeaway Box in my garden
Discussion
Someone or something has left a half-full takeaway box on the lawn of my back garden. I didn't examine it's contents closely but it looks like spicy bean sprouts. I can't figure how it arrived there but there are only 2 obvious possibilities:-
a) A person, or persons threw it over the fence. I don't know why my neighbours X would do such a thing but it only landed a few metres from their fence. My other neighbours Y are a Japanese family who like playing golf and don't seem the sort of people to eat greasy takeaways.
b) An animal. Is is possible for a large bird to move a box weighing 300g or so? We do have a problem with naughty foxes in the locale as i'm near a copse, but the box was left closed and therefore its contents were not tasted by Mr Fox.

Let's examine the evidence. a) A person, or persons threw it over the fence. I don't know why my neighbours X would do such a thing but it only landed a few metres from their fence. You have a box of what looks like spicey bean sprouts in the middle of your garden. Bean sprouts being a favoured ingredient in chinese/oriental take away meals.
You have a japanese family living next door. You say they play golf as though this makes them somehow exempt from being able to throw rubbish over into your garden

I think, if you allow that you golfing observation is largely not relevant, that the eveidence above is conclusive.
Throw the box back over into the japanese family's garden.

Well, this thread will certainly be an eye opener to those who think the lounge is nothing but a cesspit of pointless dross.

Is there any kind of branding on the box?
Nope. It was one of those unbranded transparent microwaveable containers as used by takeaways.Neil H said:
You appear to be, possibly deliberately, missing a rather obvious point, in that it's possible that it was thrown there by someone other than your neighbours.
But who else could toss something into my rear lawn? The house adjacent to the end of the garden is about 80ft away and blocked off my trees and shrubs. Guess i will have to let this incident pass as i don't have enough evidence to point fingers at anyone (or thing). I don't think i can accuse the Japanese family, in the same way if neighbour Y was an Indian family and the offending item was a Lamb Dhansak takeway. Though i would agree that if it was a jar of pickled vegetables and my neighbours were Polish then there would be stronger grounds for retaliation.

Come on man, sprout some balls!
