He needs therapy, and a hug.
Wonder how much his car insurance is?
He had an SL55 until he nearly went bankrupt due to his wifes excessive spending.He needs therapy, and a hug.

They now drive around in an Astra. Despite living in a 500k house with 5k worth of furniture from china...
All on credit of course..
Lifetime ban, or a number of years at the very least. I'm not entirely sure how prison would help the situation other than put him in touch with some people who'd tell him how to get hold of an untaxed, uninsured car and avoid the plod.
He needs to find himself confined to Shank's Pony or the bus so he realises that driving is a privelege and not a right, and this is what happens when you abuse that privelege.

Sentence depends on:
How much he was over;
How he got caught (given the time of day, probably crashed / erratic driving - but could just be known to the police, who decided to check him);
The length of time elapsed between bans. Need 2-3 bans in a 10 year period to go to prison. If you do, it will only be a few weeks;
How believable his promises of attending AA etc are. If you can prove good behaviour, go for regular blood tests, and visit AA, you will get a reduced sentence;
How much he needs to stay out of prison. If he has a family to support, most likely they will consider a ban enough of a burden.
ETA: I don't believe they do lifetime bans. I know several blokes with long histories of bans for drinking / driving without license, insurance ....... They all get their licenses back again after 3-5 years.
I know someone who got a 3 year ban for drink driving (three years after the end of a 5 year ban for the same), then 3 months later, a 3 year ban for driving without a license, to run concurrently with his previous ban.

To swerve wildly off-topic for a moment, I never understood that one. If you murder three people, you should serve three life sentences, one after the other (except if life=life - in that case, you can be excused the 2nd & 3rd terms...
). WTF is the point of "concurrent" bans/gaol time? Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
