Browser Hijacking?
Discussion
Any idea what the best way to prevent Browser hijacking is?
Every so often I click on a link on what is a well reputed site (goodwood FOS for example) and I get bounced to online gambling, and credit sites.
I clost the browser window, click on the link again and all is fine.
It only happens every so often, what can I do to stop it? it's bloody irritating

The ususal adware/spyware-remover stuff will do, and use a browser that is not vulnerable to hijacking; like Mozilla Firefox www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
Spybot S&D will take care of almost all malware. Couple it with adaware and you ought to be well protected.
There might also be something to be said for installing some 'legitimate' spyware in the form of the Googlebar, this seems to slow down most search hijackers.
