Uni education not required, driving licence essential.
Slackers and window licker don't bother. Fairly junior stuff so no MCSE etc. Unless you your willing to start at a basic level.

Oh and finally English speaking is required.

I think I'd rather be a tube driver than work on a helpdesk! Thought it was a bit steep for relatively entry level stuff, no offence intended to anyone etc. etc., but then we get paid in coal round here.

You will need a decent level of knowledge on XP, Office and many other apps.
Mainly 2nd line software support, though an ability to diagnose hardware and network issues is required.
Installation of new hardware and collection of redundant kit.
You will need to be conscientious and reliable and be comfortable working in a very varied environment.
Driving licence is essential along with ability to drive in London.
End users are located throughout the London area.

This is a temp contract, initially to the end of October.

That old system has kind of died a death now, though the Ubiquiti kit is st red hot. Played about with loads of it, implemented and recomemded a load more, very stable and does what it says on the tin.

Right about now I'm playing with guidance systems, lots of GPS and serial port horrors on embedded linux systems. Still, I'm not up at rocket altitudes or velocities so I'm not paying licence fees for my home grown differential GPS designs. Once I'm down to sub 10cm accuracy I'll be very happy.

The biggest problem I've got at the moment is that I've lost all my soldering skills so mocking up circuit boards is frankly embarassing after a bit of bread-boarding that is, plus I can't afford the development kits to make a concrete decision on what harware platform to choose.

A bit of me is leaning towards PICs but only because I have a programmer and some bits and bobs knocking around in the spares box, but I know that developing this way is never going to get me anywhere, so I just keep pushing all the cleverness into software, which leaves me bypassing all the cunning stuff available in newest hardware.


Still, at least there might be a help desk with an empty seat available somewhere if I get really stuck!
