Spotted: Ferrari 599XX

Not one but two no less at a supercar trackday at the Hungaroring.





An absolute beast of a machine which you could hear all the way around the circuit and standing in the pits when it came out of it's garage was particulary painful on the ears.



They weren't private cars but had been brought to the circuit by Ferrari Sweden as demonstrators and were giving passengers rides to the various VIP's in attendance. With over 700BHP they were easily the fastest things on the track.



















There were plenty of other exotics on show including various Lambos, Ferrari 458's, 599GTB's, F430's, the usual Porsche's including a Carrera GT and a Lotus 2 Eleven. Let me know if anyone would like to see further pictures. I'm hoping this thread won't disappear into the trackdays or photography forums as ultimately it's about some stunning cars and not about a track day or pretty pictures but obviously that is up to the mods.

If anyone could identify this then I would be terribly grateful.


Cast your eyes beyond the Lambo and check out the shrubbery in the background that is in fact one of the spectator stands. Barely a month before Bernie 'Silverstone is a dump' Ecclestone turns up and pretty much every seating area was like this with some a lot worse. Fair play to them though as there was an army of Albanians busy hacking everything back and making the place shipshape

Think the white car is a Wiesmann roadster.

It's a Wiesmann. I think it has a 4.0 V8 engine out of the previous gen M5.

599xx aside which is clearly unspeakably good, the 458 seems to be an incredible machine

That was at the ring when I was there last month. Stripped out with buckets seats and harnesses. Apparantly a RWD conversion as well!
