Car Insurance Scam through PH Classifieds - Please Help.

A few weeks ago I listed my car for sale through PH Classifieds.
Stupidly I forgot to delete the registration from the photos.
I have now been informed by my insurer that they have received a claim against my car. I supposedly rear ended a car in another part of the country (in fact a town I don't think I've ever been too!). I was near home all day and have proof of that, but none the less its going to have to be investigated etc. It is possible that the car was cloned, although the Police believe it is more likely to be a faked claim derived from my PH user name and photos/description of the car. As you might guess the occupants of the car are all claiming injuries and conviently the car was full with 5 people!
I understand that someone else from PH, also listing their car for sale using PH Classifieds, is undergoing exactly the same thing and has had a false/faked claim submitted against them.
I was hoping to find out whether anyone else was aware of this happening? I'm hoping to collate as many details of possible fraud cases through PH Classifieds so my insurers can look for any connections. It would be great to nail the b
ds that do this as it adds a significant amount to our premiums.

There is also a thread in the South West forum about this, but please moderators leave this here as with the collective power of PH and the good guys and girls that use the forums, rather than the scammers, perhaps we can catch the culprits - being sticky would help even more!! (hint hint!!)
