Car Insurance Scam through PH Classifieds - Please Help.

Would be great to try and find out whether anyone has had this problem.

Mods, if you were able to make Sticky, or ad to Wiki for Classifieds that would be good. Very distressing and frustrating thing to be going through, the supposed claim is a very significant size. The frustrating part is that even as the innocent party, totally uninvolved and located a good distance from the supposed accident location the oneous is now on me to prove I haven't been involved! I've consulted the Insurance Fraud Bureau and the Police are now working on it, but details/clues from other PH's could be what is needed to get these people banged up!

As part of our ongoing commitment to prevent fraud and scams across the classifieds, PistonHeads is a member of the VSTAG group made up of the main automotive classified players (Autotrader, eBay Motors, Motor.co.uk etc). I have spoken to them about this fraud and it is not one any of them has ever heard of before.
We are looking into our approach too to see if we can avoid this happening to anyone else.
If there is anything we can do this end to try and help out then drop me an email and we will be than willing to help.
