Managed to come to a deal with my long term mate Dicky and am now the proud owner of my all time fantasy car!

'Fettling' is not the word I would use! TLC is more like it. Dicky has looked after the beastie but not used it in a bit therefore the usual bits have perished including the petrol hoses etc. Best to pick it up with a trailer me thinks then start from there.
If you guys know anybody local then give 'em a shout. I got a blinking Landrover but ain't even got a tow bar. Bummer.
Wyn it defo won't be ready for BBWF too much to do and now 'sans loot!

Mike - I had wondered what had happened to old Dicky Mint ..
probably stuck in a bar in Usk or fixing up old boilers.
Shame to let the SEAC get neglected but I'm sure you can easily
bring what is a great car back up to scratch.
Look forward to seeing it again and I'm sure all the shopping channel
additions will look great

The Griffith is a pretty car, nicely put together (in TVR terms) and is modern, handles well, stops well etc but not without its little niggles. Its just not suited to me. Biggest mistake I have made was getting rid of my 450SE!.
Every single time I walked across a car park away from the 450 I turned around and stared at it thinking 'wow its mine'.
This SEAC is even more work for me as a project but even if I was a millionaire and the pick of any car in the world I would have this SEAC. I would just have somebody else take it apart and put it back together for me! - but again thats all part of the fun getting your hands ripped apart on the GRP etc.
It will be some time before I will be chasing power bikes up the A40 with it but hey-ho that time will come soon enough.
Just gotta dig out my pirate flags now (and get the thing from Dickies house).

Hello Mike
Well done , you have purchased the ultimate wedge i think most of us dream of.
I met the previous own before dicky mint this year, currently he's on his own resto a 350i (red).
He is on p/h as SLB (stephen benett) He sent me some videos of the car but i couldn't open them, was having problems with my comp, which is sorted now but i have lost them as the comp crashed.
If you ask him to forward the videos to you ask him to send to me aswell.
thanks and
