It seems my engine didn't want to have a 72mm plenum fitted and then be set up on the rolling road last Thursday.

Neither does it seem, to want to go to the Growl....



Therefore, it is now sitting on my garage floor awaiting strip down.



What does everyone reckon a 120D sport will make on the RR at the Growl?????

At the moment ,I have to pass on that.

All the mains and big ends look ok,but there is a knock.

Onwards and upwards,its only an engine after all.

Crappy news I'm really sorry to hear Ant.

It sounded fantastic when I last heard it roaring up the road back towards the M1. I hope its nothing serious and you get it sorted quickly.

Oh bugger. Had you used it much since Curborough? That oil leak of mine ended up being the contents of the gearbox! Fortunately it was just the tail seal on the 'box and the short drive home meant it didn't run dry. Hopefully you'll have a similar simple fix!

It had been used since Curborough, no problems at all.

Just got back from Coventry, block heated up and no3 lifted straight out !!! All the others would not move....

My original plan was to TH a block, but this one turned up as a good , built engine.

Heads look fine, to my knowledge the engine never overheated, just developed the knock.

The pistons/rods and crank are like new, no st on them at all...

I've heard a slipped liner block and it's the knock off the liner against the head that would of been my only concern.

Great news the rest is OK, it'll go back together really quick then

It should go back together nicely, only problem is I have to go and lay on a beach in Skiathos for a week before the Growl!!!!
