Rear Diff Queries

Morning all,
Can anyone offer any advice on the following:-
My 95 Chim, develops a very slight vibration when I pull off. Only occurs when the diff is really hot (e.g. after a motorway blast) and only if I pull off gently. The sensation is though I'm driving over very rough tarmack, like Shell Grip or something.
Is this normal as I had the same sensation with my previous Chim?
Cheers,
Nick.

Mine was in 2 stages - they rebuilt the bearings, put it back in and the whine had gone but the juddering was still there. 2nd rebuild fixed it for good. Not before I'd needlessly changed the propshaft UJS to pacify the rebuilder it wasn't that. My costs were a little hard to work out, but I think the rebuild was something like 500 pounds, a CW&P may be hard to find as I suspect you have the early diff like mine had.
I suggest speaking to a specialist as I could be talking out of my RS. www.gearboxman.com is a good place.

Mine did something like this last year, only did it when I pulled off in anything but a dead straight line.
Can't remember what exactly it was, I have had the diff bearings and collor replaced previously, and it was after that when the problem seemed to develop. I think it turned out to be a worn UJ, although there was talk that they just put the wrong diff oil in, but I don't think the garage let me in on the whole story. I took it their one day, they said they just replaced the diff oil, and it came back fixed!!
I had so many problems with that whole back end I've forgotten what fixed what to tell the truth!! It's OK now though
