Just wondered before I take the final plunge and order if a 6'2'' 16 stone guy would be too squashed in a GTR? I could drop some pounds (probably through stress building) but cant do much about height!! Never managed to sit in a GTR yet, as they are thin on the ground in Kent it seems!! Would want the full roll bar option so I guess this cuts headroom even further!! Any one else had a problem with this?

Hi Barrie, I’m 6’ 4” and 15 ½ stone and I don’t have a problem.
I live in Kent and you are welcome to sit in mine if you like

It's not all about height. I am 5'11, and I fit in fine, but can't fit with a helmet on. I have (relatively) short legs and a long body. For example my wife is the same height as me and has a 4" longer inside leg measurement, so her body must be 4" shorter, which would give her 4" more head room. Regardless of your height or weight, the only way to tell is to sit in one.

I do not have the lowered floor pan than is standard now (which gives about 2" of extra head room).

Interesting that, as I'm about the same size, ( 6'2"-16 stone ), never thought to ask about fitting in, my noble was fine so just assumed the ultima would be ok.
I bet there's no one in the Glos area willing to let me try myself for size, is there?
Thanx.

Thanks guys great responses. I only ask because I have owned many cars and in my 911 it was ok but a little cramped I (legs almost touchhed steering wheel) no rake adjustment!! and I am only really average height, by today's standards. I would not want to start a build, only to find I could not live with a cramped driving position!!! Good to hear no problems for others though.

The missing dimension then would appear to be 'inside leg'.

I'm 6'1" with a 33" inside leg measurement.

I can hear the jokes coming before I've submitted this post but it seems the only way to guide newbies.

I'm 6'2" with 32" inch inside leg but the problem appears to be the width of my arse !

so just a thought, why not a canam which is basically the exact same car but without any headroom issues?

I found the Sport/GTR fairly small in the cabin, I am 6ft 2 and couldnt fit with a helmet, you can have the lowered floor (on either car) - but just wondered why not the canam - especially at this time of year the open top driving is a whole world of differance.

I tried a can am and because I have a long body, the top of my head was above the screen, not good for me at all but a sensible thought. I had EXACTLY the same thought and Russ kindly let me sit in his GTR and Can Am side by side to judge which would be best - ended up choosing GTR and ordered chassis next day
