Hi,

Couple of questions I currently have giant MPH brakes on my bike which are a few years old, and I am thinking of upgrading these to Avid Juicy 3s which are available for £35 front and rear excluding rotors - is this going to be a worthwhile upgrade or are the two sets similar?

Finally, does anyone know if the rotors I have for my MPH brakes would work with the Juicy brakes, or would I need to replace these?

Thanks in advance.

That isnt really an upgrade, the MPH brakes are reasonable kit.

I agree, it really isnt an upgrade, i would just change the fluid and pads rather than spend money on an item very similar to yours.
Good price though for the juicys.

My wife has a giant xtc, and the stock hydraulics felt better to me than the juicy 5's I bought when I built up my Yeti asr a couple of years ago. I've since replaced them with Hope tech x2's, again they seem to get mixed reviews, but they certainly stop me easily enough - and I'm not light. It's certainly worth having a look at whats on offer as merlin, jejames, chainreaction and wiggle all seem to have complete sets of brakes on offer fairly regularily.
