Griffith Electric Window just given up the ghost

Hi All,

My passenger one has literally just stopped working. I went to press the button for then to go up, did not work, I then opened the door and shut it, tried the button again and it went up and down once. But immediately afterwards tried it again and it would not work.

I'm off to Le Mans on Wednesday night so HELP!!!

Any advice would be appreciated, my number is 07799 888480.

Try cleaning the connector up behind the door speaker, and possibly the rear of the switch. There have been several examples of the loom that goes through the door hinge suffering mechanical damage (chaffing or strain), a multimeter on the connector and some aggressive wiggling on the wiring may help you check that?

Defiantly sounds like a poor contact ( or possible motor starting to give up). Deffo check the door to body grommet for wear. pop the switch out of center of dash and even perhaps swap it with drivers side one to confirm its not that!!

If its an intermittent fault you may not find anything now, but it will only not work when your not testing things...sods law. So you may have to wait until something Faults completely.

My passenger window did the same thing,turned out to be a poor connection on the window switch as I removed it to check the window started working again.So just removed the connections and cleaned and all was well.
