Hi all

I have been slowly ripping my 200 TDi Disco to bits today after a snapped cambelt yesterday. So, I need a few bits and paddocks have a "kit" options with a "Dayco" belt. Anyone any experience of these?

Options:-

  • All bits separately, using a Genuine belt - £115
  • Cheap and nasty £10 web special offer belt - no thanks
  • This kit - stacks up at - £85 instead.
Any opinions? Buy it all separate or get the kit with the Dayco belt and save a few bob?

The Paddocks one comes to about £40 ish as it's all you'll need (apart from push rods probablysmile) I recently bought a kit from Rockingham Land Rovers - you'll need to ask for the gaskets though, although I used instant gasket as well. Rocky are more expensive than Paddocks but the stuff they sell is the stuff they fit to customers' cars, so they can't risk selling crap.

Another one to look at:

They also do the crank locking tool to make it easier to get the pulley bolt undone - these can be really awkward to shift.
