They are based in Southampton I believe but use local contracts all over the UK as the guy that took my car to Goodwood was from Yorkshire for example.

I've used a guy called Mark Mason http://www.gm-transport.co.uk he posts on Seloc and lives in Liverpool AFAIK he transported my Lotus from Sincs to the Midlands and has an Elise himself - top bloke!

Im not*, i changed my mind cos the cheapest delivery quote i could get was £650. Some of the people listed above dont exist anymore but thanks to everyone for their help anyway.

• it was a 1972 Alfa Spider but im now looking at a Triumph GT6 of similar age.

I stumbled across this while doing a search on car transport on google, just thought i would ask if you got a car and had it delivered, I run my own transporter and could have done the hastings one for about £350, im also from St Helens and not far from you.

I used Mark for transporting my Exige S1 cross-country and Kylie also used him for transporting her Esprit Sport 350. We both had VERY positive experiences with him and would recommend him to anyone, anytime.
