Hey,

This was my first (and, to date, only) TVR - a '98 450 Antigua Blue (Jaguar colour) Chimaera.

For one reason or another I'm suddenly curious as to whether she's still on the road, and if so, where she is now?

I sold her to someone on here called "ropey" in 2003 and I believe he copped her in for a T350... anyone know her story from then on?

Here's hoping!

Cheers,
Phil.

Not that I remember - I sold it in 2003 so unless you're talking about 7 years ago!!

There's no trace of it on the internet which would probably mean one of two things: it's had a registration transfer or it's been destroyed (scrapped). Lots of TVRs have registration transfers so that's more likely. TVRCC might have some history on it.

Good point. I didn't even consider that - I'm so indoctrinated by PH!

Hi Phil,

How funny, I just did a Google search for my old Reg, and this post came up as the first result!

So, any joy in tracking the Chim down? I part-ex'd her for a T350t at DriveStyle up in Harrogate, but that was in around 2006. But I have no idea what happened to her after that.

Hope she didn't get wrapped round a tree somewhere - that would be a shame.

Hope all is well with you. Pub landlord now, eh? How's that going?

Cheers,
M.

I've just done a query using the DVLA's vehicle licensing site, and it came back saying that it couldn't find the vehicle details.

Now, I know for sure that if a car has simply fallen into disuse and been scrapped, it still shows in that database. In that case, the car simply says "unlicensed".

So the fact that your old car shows as not known seems to imply that it has indeed had a registration transfer. Of course, it might also have been scrapped...
