Not a call for help, but to recommend a book:

Now i appreciate it may be teaching some people to suck eggs on here, but on the other hand it's a very nice introduction to some very smart techniques in weathering, and creating dioramas. Ok it's using Games Workshop models as the basis, but the principles apply none the less.
Who'd of thought of using hairspray?

Sometimes diverting into other branches of the hobby reveals tricks and techniques that you otherwise wouldn't have known about.http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Modelling-Supplies/IMP...

I used hairspray to stick grass/ballast granules to my model railway baseboard years ago. I couldn't go in the loft for maybe 2 weeks after that because of the perfumed smell in the air. It still lingers 20 years later...http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Modelling-Supplies/IMP...
