less than 8000 miles and it cant be proved...?

Can't help regards knowing the car but this seems really low to me...extremely low miles is not that desirable for a TVR anyway. At the very least be suspicious!

Looking at the car cover on the fence in one of the pics, the wiring spilling out into the passenger footwell, and just how far the veneers have lifted, I'd say it's been sat unloved on that drive under a damp cover for a long time.
Worth a gamble though if outriggers are ok and the MOT records or a history can prove the mileage.

Be wary of low mileage cars. I bought mine at 13 years old with 5700 miles on the clock. It had been standing in a collection and was run occasionally. I had lots of issues casued because it hadn't been driven, eg clutch cylinder seals, sticky relays, leaking shick absorbers, perished rubber bushes.

Rubber in particular doesn't like to stand around.
