If possible I’m looking for a little help from any west yorks PH’ers.

I’m looking for a bike carrier for the back of my car & it has been suggested that the saris bones might fit. There in lies the problem, it might fit.
This weekend I’ve traipsed all round looking for a shop which has them in stock to try a test fit before I part with my hard earned but to no avail.

So it looks like I’ll need to get one ordered, but before I do I would like to guarantee that it will fit.

So my request is this, does anyone have a saris bones rack that they wouldn’t mind meeting me for an hour or so to test the fit to my car. I’ll happily supply you with a few beers for your time.

Can anyone help?

Thats great,

I might be down in Sheffield on Thursday, just waiting on a call to confirm.

If that suits you, I'll email to arrange to meet.

Thanks.

Ring EBC in Leeds 0113 2687463, ask to speak to Elliot preferably ask if they have one, if they say no ask them to get one in from another store. If you call now it could be there Weds/Thursday, tell em Simon sent you.

BUT - my real advice would be, dont get the saris bones they are crap, cheap, badly moulded plastic hardware that wears and breaks, I was forever ordering spare parts for them.

Really, trust me, they are not very good I spent a good few years selling racks to people!

Whats the car? Best 'regular' rack is the Hollywood F1 - again, that shop (EBC, Leeds) will have one, or can definitely get one. It is all metal construction, nut and bolted together, great quality, very adjustable.

If the car is the VXR-8 I'd be semi-confident it would fit, its the depth/height of the spoiler that causes issues.

I also have one of these your welcome to trial fit if you wish, I'm in Garforth.
