Stafford MoT centre for modified cars?

I'm asking this for a mate who's based at MoD Stafford.

He's had a bit of trouble obtaining an MoT for his Mini which has been in it's current form for about 4 years- stage 4 1380, full maniflow system, omex management & throttle body.

He's recently moved to Stafford, but the one place he has tried, failed him on excessive noise.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to go?

You could try EMJ Motor Service on Astonfields - they've MOT'd my SAAB (which has a 3" exhaust with sports cat - but which is fairly quite at lower revs) - they're not cowboys though, so if it IS really over the top loud they will probably fail it!

I'd say it's no louder than a Tusan/Cerb/Tamora with aftermarket pipes.
