And before anyone accuses me of being pissy. I'm not. I'm in a mellow mood as I toddle around the garden in the sun. Pisstaking, maybe.

Welcome to the "Passed 1st time club". beer

When considering your first car, please consider something a bit more exicing than a Saxo. Note the chap on the Top Gear thread whose son has a Merc 190E Cosworth (and note the insurance is as cheap as mine and I'm double his age).

Well done - it must be one of the few exams that is harder today than when I was your age.

Take it easy for a while because your learning starts now in reality.

Well done chap thumbup

As for a what car - buy something classic. Good for insurance and if old enough, tax-exempt.

Well done on passing first time. I don't know how much the tests cost now or how much lessons are, but I bet you're mighty relieved you can use your cash to actualy get on the road now thumbup

Well done!

...but be safe out there, no showing off to mates etc, i know it sounds really patronising but i've been there and done it and it hit me VERY hard in the wallet (luckily not me or worse still, anyone else in any other way)
