Hi,

I'm a new 993 owner and new to this forum. Absolutely loving the experience so far! (both car and forum!)

However, the switch for the passenger side electric window (on the the drivers side) bust completely over the weekend. The failure seems to be internal to the switch so I guess I'll need a new one. I suppose the local OPC could help, but I thought I'd ask if there's anyone I should ask first?

Thanks in advance,

Stephen F

Have a look at www.type-911.co.uk/home.htm and you may find a replacement switch.

I've used them before and they are fine - cheaper than OPC in my experience.

Hi Steven, secret is to phone around or look at the web sites of the popular specialists like: Type-911, Porsch-apart and Design 911. There are loads of them and they generally tend to be cheaper than your OPC.

I had a similar problem with mine about 6 months ago - GT One in Chertsey fixed it for me and it was about £20 for the switch. Add in 10 mins of labour and it wasn't too much to get it sorted.
