if that is the case, it looks like they spent all their cash on Mr Schumacher Journalists are well known for never taking just one or two items from an interview, putting quotes areound them and distorting what the interviewee meant.
In essence he's saying that Merc have problems with tyre temperature and that the recent mods have not addressed it. Given that there was a fair bit of hype with the updates he's entitled to be a bit miffed.
It seems odd that, now Renault have no direct involvement with their old team, the only major manufacturer left in F1 is struggling for cash.

if that is the case, it looks like they spent all their cash on Mr Schumacher Niki Lauda has just told the German press that Brawn's simulator is utter pants & that's a large part of the problem. Perhaps he just read Button's comments on it in comparison to McLaren's at the start of the year.
However it may be better to put the blame on Merc rather than on Schuey's attempts to re-engineer the car around himself, should he be trying to do that.
Were Brawn not always going to be a 'one season' team?, Ross was smart enough to know that the car that had been left by Honda has a lot of potential, the double diffuser loophole gave them a great start till the other teams caught up, and all their slim resources were devoted to trying to improve the existing car during the 2009 season.
So at the end of the season, they got the Championships, but the 'cupboard' was bare for 2010?

I don't buy Mark Hughes' opinion that Schumacher M is past it - I think the car's the real problem for him...
I personally don't think he's past it, I reckon he's still competitive, but I think he's lost that edge that used to enable him to put in incredible performances with an inferior car.
