E39 535 Oil Pressure Warning light

Hi, everytime I slam the brakes on hard or go a bit too fast over a speedbump, the oil pressure light comes on for less than half a second. I never loose any performance and nothing happens. It has been happening for about 2000-3000 miles now. One thing though is, everytime I start the car or turn it off, it tells me to check the brake lights and tail lights but, there is nothing wrong with them. Any suggestions? The oil pressure is worrying me the most. Thanks in advance.

Without wanting to state the bleeding obvious but is the oil level to the max? In the situations you describe it could be struggling to reach the top of the engine.

Oil seems too be fine. I should not of said everytime, more like sometimes.(a couple times a week)

dont know if this helps but i had a broblem with an e39 5 series oil light, i was running the car for 2 years on 5w40 oil, everything was ok, i needed a service and could only find 5w30, so i used that, when the engine was hot, after a motorway run, when stopped the oil light would flicker or come on very dim? blip the throttle and the light would go away.
changed the oil back to 5w40 and it was fine, the oil light never came on,i guess there maybe a slight bit of wear on the pump and using the thiner oil was unable to keep preasure.
just a thought.

The oil hasn't been changed and it has only happened in the last 2000-3000 miles
