... all the funds in the bank? Sounds like a odd question but would you if they wanted the car for an airport run. The buyer seems honest I think i'm good at reading people. Met both parents etc deposit paid and cheque in the bank due to clear on Thursday.

I could ask for passport, driving licence, not give her her part of the V5 etc.

.... so would you? Instinct is no but somehow feel guilty but no agreeing.

If they wanted the car that badly they would have arranged cleared funds. Its not that difficult.

NOT. A. CHANCE.

I wouldn't even trust bank transfers until it had been okay'd by my bank. Cash on collection for me.

Follow your instincts.

Guilt? What do you owe her?

Absolutely not, internet phishing scams are obvious...in person, people can be amazingly deceptive.

If they had an airport run planned, why do they need a new car for it? If it got to that stage I'd have a taxi or something. Seems odd planning, so I'd say no!

Fit no not really... I just think that it sad that we can't trust anyone any more.

I'll add my vote to the 'no' tally.

It's nice to help out strangers. Unfortunately the truth is that there are plenty of ways to provide cleared funds immediately. Not doing so when they need the car immediately sets all kinds of alarm bells ringing.

There was a time when you could trust everyone?

I wouldn't.
