Just got back with an old flame and we want to dash off this weekend for a chance to chat, sort old stuff out, decent live music venue (not major gig..pub or similar) and rounded off with a night in B&B/Guest House.
What's on searches are so rubbish on the net so if you can help with links etc I'd be most grateful..a town with nice places to go daytime would be a bonus.
Sort of North West but an hours drive from Wirral/Chester area.
Thanks chaps, and there will not be any pictures or custard!
hehe

I suspect that I'll be enjoying a large number of Dutchmen either celebrating happily or crying into their beer, assuming they beat Uraguay tomorrow.

Stone in Staffordshire here. Great little restaurant which turns into a live music venue later.

or eat here http://www.lafavorita.co.uk/pages/restaurants.html (epic steaks) and Granvilles later for music/dancing.

There's usually something live going on in one of the pubs/clubs in Burnley at weekend, added to that, it's also wakes week at the moment, so there is a fair ground in town, oh and a craft fair at Gawthorpe Hall on Saturday.
